Hi everyone. I am new to this site so bear with me. I bought a 1979 Enticer 340E (has electric start and a battery) and am in the process of installing a Heat Demon Dual zone Hand and Thumbwarmer kit on it. I have a some questions that I am hoping to get some help with.
1) The throttle lever gets stuck on the bolt used for the clamp on securing system for the hand warmers. Has anyone had this problem as well and resolved it. So far I have bent the metal lever out a bit and added washers to the top and bottom of the bolt that holds the throttle lever in place to spread it a bit. Still getting stuck a bit.
2) The cintroller cant be put on as per the instructions because it interferes with either the brake lever or the kill switch. Any ideas on how to attach this to the handlebar?
3) The heat shrink tube to hold the Thumbwarmer in place is too small to fit the throttle lever. I haven’t tried larger heat shrink yet but wonder if anyone has changed the lever throttle to a more modern one and if so can you let me know a make and/or model? Larger heat shrink is my next step but I have to source some and want a plan b.
3) Lastly where should I tie the wires into for power and ground?
I have installed these on my quad as well as another quad but they were quite a bit newer.

Sorry. Forgot to say thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

welcome!

for the control, have you thought of an aftermarket atv winch control style mount or something like a ram mount bar mount. you could also add the cross bar, like bravo came with stock, and mount the controller there.

i know when my uncle put them on his 88 vk, he did turn them so that the securing bolt was not in the way for throttle and brake controls.

usually on older sleds, the power supply is tapped into the tail light or brake light for power. the ground should be good anywhere on the chassis. check that it likes ac power input as the old sleds lighting system is ac , not dc like most atv's or newer sleds.
