need help last year first ride ign fuse blew after about 15 mins riding posted on totallyamaha got advise about grounding blocks removed wiring harness cleaned and dielectric cream all blocks no problems rest of the year...this year same thing happened so I tore the wiring harness apart cut grounding blocks off and soldered wires took sled for ride and ign fuse blew again I cut 7 grounding blocks off 3 in harness by clutches 4 in frt off battery area did I miss a grounding block or do I have another problem thanks :yam:

Wondering if you have a rub through in the wiring.
Would check the entire harness wherever it touches anything.

One way I have found intermittent shorts is to wire a meter with a beeper across the short so it beeps when shorted.
Then start moving EVERYTHING. (Wiring)
When you find it, the beeping will stop.

Hope this helps!

Rock : )

There is also a grounding block really close to fuse box as well.. Hidden under the coolant tank on mine.. Not the overflow but the primary. Sounds like you missed that one.

thank you everyone who helped I found a shorted wire in the harness between the fuse box and the coolant tank thanks again :rocks:
