So for the past few years the "track cover" on the end of the body has been coming slack and no matter how many rivets I put in it it just keeps chewing them up. Is there some kind of update for this or a special rivet you need to get. I know the Yamaha rivets are like three bucks a piece and the ones I get are like less than a dollar, is there any real difference in them??

Yamaha rivits grab a heck of a lot harder than hardware store ones. They flare 3 times and I refuse to do them by hand unless I am stuck. I pop 4 yamy ones and my hands ache for 2-3 days after

So, and this may seem like a very stupid question to some, how do you pop them without a rivet gun?? Also does anyone know the number of rivets I need to re-do all the rivets holding that extension on????
a pnuematic gun is he only way to go

Ok, well how about the number of rivets holding the extension on?? says something like 62 in the diagram but that seems like too much and it would cost over 200 dollars to buy the rivets which I definitely cannot afford.

Well yamaha doe nost make them you should be able to get a match at a ret-may or commercial fastener company for a lot less just don't buy them at home depot or lowes

Well by the looks of your pic I see why it's eating up rivets on the extension , looks like you use it as a wheelie bar

SledToyz has a multi-grip rivet that is similar to yamaha rivets. I used them on my extension and still holding strong. You should get the pneumatic rivet gun though. These rivets are very hard to pull.

Well, order a 100 pack of rivets from the Sled Toyz site, hope they do the trick. I could only find one air powered rivet gun and it's in princess auto for 80 bucks so it probably aint that good. They also have a manual gun that's like a set of bolt cutters with 21 inch handles, might go with that one instead.
I got mine at Northern tool and it was $70 ish 1000's of rivets no problem

I have the same rivet gun from princess auto. It is cheap but it actually works really good.
