2006 apex idler wheel and hand warmer problems

I just bought a 2006 Apex RTX demo sled and have noticed that there seems to be several threads re: rear idler wheels falling apart and issues with hand warmers. Does Yamaha have a fix for these issues or am I going to have to take care of this on my own dime? Any info is appreciated. Thanks
