I have a 2006 Nytro that has 10,000 miles. When I was doing my yearly suspension maintenance I found that the rear pivot arm (Track Suspension 4 Diagram: Arm, Pivot 2 - 8ES-47332-00-00) was broken. One side of the T that the shaft goes through was broken off. I disassembled everything and found that there were 7 bushings inside this arm around the shaft as well as the two flanged bushings on the end. I did not see these 7 bushings on the exploded diagram. I ordered a new arm figuring that the bushings would be in the arm since they did not show in the diagram. When I got the new arm there were no bushings in it. After closer inspection, I figured out that someone just took seven flanged bushings and cut the flange off and put them in the arm. My question is this, do you think that I should put the bushings back in the new arm or leave them out since they were not parts of the original suspension design? My gut says to put them back in to provide additional support along the entire length of the shaft to try to prevent breakage of the pivot arm in the future. (I am actually wondering if that is why they were in there in the first place!). Does anybody have any experience with these arms that they can offer?
