What is everyone doing to these Nytro's for summer storage? I have had issues of the carbs not staying clean when I store them. I run sea foam through the system and that's about it. This is what the dealer told me to do and I have a feeling they just wanted to clean the carbs the past two seasons. Any suggestions?

Get any and all ethanol out of the tank and Carbs! If you have to buy non ethanol aviation gas and put stabil in it. Seafoam it in the fall if it doesn't run right.
Here's a link to find real gas in your area. If you store it outside a full tank is better than partially full. Air in the tank invite oxidation and water. Indoors I feel the temps and humidity is much more stable and it's not as important. We would never leave our diesel equipment sit with a partially full tank.

I completely drain the tank, lines and carbs before summer storage. I have never had to clean a carb because of gummed fuel during storage. Have been doing this with motorcycles, boat motors, sleds, atv's and cars for years and have never had an issue.

On my 07' Rage, I dump Stabil in the gas tank, run the engine to push fuel with Stabil thru the carbs, and warm the oil before I change the oil and filter. Then I remove the air box to get access to the drains on the carb float bowls and drain the fuel out of them. I use a 6"- 8" long piece of hose I stole off an aquarium pump to drain the float bowls. With the airbox off it is pretty easy to get to the drain screws and push the hose over the nipple. Then with the length of hose you can drain the gas into a small cup or bottle. G.B.

I assume you also Fog your sled Gone Blue?

I am considering doing it this year, fog, drain carbs/gas etc and forget about it until the fall but I am concerned when it comes time to re-start and the fact you have to pressurize the gas tank in order to fill the carbs in order to get it to start.

My concern is, what if you happen to over pressurize the tank or carbs and force raw gas into the oil? Is this not a possibility with the carbed versions?

I have been starting it every month since I owned it but had to pressurize the tank/carbs once as I had let too much time pass between starts.

Irv, have you had any issues doing it the way you have in the past?

No, none at all Sab1, just thought it might be nice to put it away for good until the fall instead of firing it up every month?

I am just curious what the possibilities are of dousing the oil with gas if you have to pressurize the tank in the fall to get it going?

I posted in a different post on the same subject. I think this winterization/summerization process comes down to doing what you think is right. Everyones has their own opinions its kinda like who makes the best boat. I have always run stabil into the gas and carbs on everything I have from outboards/I/O's, motorcycles, snowmobile etc. I fog everything, 4 stroke or two stroke, change oil where applicable and leave it until I need it. Never drained a carb but cant see how it could hurt. Never had a problem knock on wood...so...for me why going for one. If it aint broke don't fix it. I have had the loss of pressure torment me with the Venture (just did this weekend as it sat for 6 weeks) and I just take a piece of hose stick in tank a couple inches cup my hands over the gas filler hole in the tank making a seal and have my son blow into the hose while I turn the key. Works like a charm.

Nope, I do not fog my 4 stroke. Don't see the point. I store it in my attached insulated garage. G.B.

I don't do anything really
I put some gas line antifreeze in the tank (store with about a 1/2 a tank). I start it up maybe 2 or 3 times over the summer and top it off with fresh gas in the winter. I have not problems to date and have been doing this for 4 winters now. Sled is stored inside all year round but not a heated garage or anything.
