2006 Yamaha Accessories

Everyone has been waiting for Yamaha to update their website with some new info on accessories. Especially pictures of windshield along with new acc. for the 2006 Apex and Attak. I was sick of waiting I called their customer relations number. They didn't have a clue as to when the website will be updated. They say they generally know 2 wks before they update the website. So - don't look for it anytime soon.

I just got the new 2006 accessories catalog and it's go a bunch of new stuff in it. My girl got me a new Apex ball cap and gift cert. for my B-day and my dealer gave her one of his few 06 books to take home. On one of the pages is an Apex-GT with gold Ohlins. Here is a scan of it. Doug

That's a dumb machine to use for a pic. The sled with the slickest shock package from the factory needs ohlins???

I think you have the 2006 preview book. Look on the cover and it will say preview. There will be another book soon with all the new stuff.

I agree the black shocks look better with the sled the way it is. I would have changed all the silver on the sled to Gold to match the ohlins

You are correct, it says apparel & accessories Preview. It's the same color as the sky in the book and I had to look at it twice to see it. I also like the black shocks much better. I thought they were some kind of "special" build that were as good or better than Ohlins? Do you know who makes the front shocks? Doug

NY SXR700, On their website it says they are made by HPG.

Mighty, ya that would "ty" the color in real nice on the sled.

Bossman, HPG isn't a brand, rather short for High Pressure Gas.
NY_SXR700 the fronts on the GT are made by Soqi a shock company owned by Yamaha. Good shocks from what I've read, just not the ultra premuim like the Ohlins.

They seem to be a little slow with the web site. I dont know about you but I sure miss the old website, the new one is only 1/10th as good IMHO.
So it the new acc cat out now from what I am understanding? My dealer said look for it around Haydays.
