The good and the bad:
GOOD:
1 - Unbelievable Engine
2 - Unbelievable Engine (It is so good I had to say that twice)
3 - Amazing Ride - make sure you adjust the suspension for your wife's weight - they ride like a Caddy when you get them set up right
4 - Amazing workmanship - Typical Yamaha
5 - Great Gas Mileage - I get 17mpg average
6 - Handles great
7 - NO exhaust smell - women like that
8 - Unbelievable Engine (did I already say that??)
BAD:
1 - Tends to dart, can be fixed with better carbides and suspension adjustment, I don't know why Yamaha refuses to fix this, it is a real pain.
2 - Throttle response is AMAZINGLY quick for a novice rider, you can get into trouble real fast.
3 - Very heavy, don't get it stuck.

The darting was terrible with the stock carbides and got much worse with a larger single carbide. I would say that it bordered on being dangerous!
Bergstrom triple points with shims & ski savers fixed the darting completely and they turn like you are on rails! This is the best thing that I did to my Apex hands down.
