hey guys I have a 2007 phazer fx here and the 121" track with the I think .5" inch lugs just don't seem to cut it in powder, what would be the max lug size I could use on the 121" skidframe, or would it even be possible to throw the phaxer mtx skidframe under it without re-clutching the machine, is the mtx skid frame the same bolt pattern??

I know that you can go up to a 2" paddle without any issues. Putting in an MTX skid is a straight swap but you might need to gear it down a bit although my son extended his to 144" with a 1.5" track and he says it's OK. He used extensions from Tracks USA. Easier and cheaper than trying to find a whole MTX skid.

What would be the price on the 2inch paddle 121"? also i have broke a pivot arm in this skid and was probably wanting to get a newer one cause Yamaha had provided crappy welds and thin metal where it broke in the skid when i was jumping the machine last season. The piece on the top right broke...in the same place...have a temp weld i put on to get me though the rest of the season..

And what would tracks USA price be on the extensions? I seen some nasty photos online of them breaking where the tracks extend

I'm sure you can find the prices at Tracks USA. Don't know if there is such an animal as a 121 x 2" track but searching on their site should give some answers. I haven't seen or heard of extensions on Yamahas breaking except for one here that had a non related accident and completely bent the skid during an end over end rollover.

I am real happy with my Tracks USA rail extensions. The tipped up 144" extensions that I used do a great job. On the trail in the twisties doesn't, my 144" Phazer doesnt seem any different than a shorty. I think you will find that a 1.5" Freeride is the tallest 121" track you are going to find. Go big or go home! You will not regret going to 144" if you do any off trail. The float is so much better than 121" on the Phazer. And I am running a 1.25" x 144" track.

Really? sounds really good, but arn't the extension kits like 600-$700? I seen a phazer MTX skid on ebay used for like 308$.....I swear buying a mtx skid was a cheaper route..

Oh my no. The extensions to go from 121" to 144" are $170. But that's just the extensions. There are not tunnel extensions available for the Phazer.

No new idlers required unless you want to add some at the tip up to prolong slider life there. Other than that, new 144" track and you'll have to fab a tunnel and bumper extension.

There are a number of us on here that have stretched our Phazers with rail extensions. If you do a little searching you will find the threads. Here is mine.
http://www.ty4stroke.com/threads/09-rtx-stretched-to-144.117801/
Alan Ulmer customized his Phazer clutch kit to my stretch and track. His clutch kit is something like $130. Pretty cheap IMO.
