So what's being replaced? I'd be afraid of all those metal pieces that went everywhere. If you're doing a full rebuild, then it should be good and basically have a new engine for $800 less.
The condition and value of the sled itself should dictate if it's worth it.

Here is what happens when the reduction gear fails.From what I saw it would NOT require a entire engine rebuild.I would just replace the gear on end of crank and the outputgear as a set.Now if the teeth got caught in between damage could of course be much worse. Heck this one would have just needed the one cover removed to replace it.Bearings were all in like new condition.Was a rare failure even on 07's even rarer on later ones.
