Buddy has what sounds like exhaust leak. Do these have donuts like the Apex.
Doesn't backfire like the apex thought. Anywhere else exhaust is prone to leak ?
Does sound noisy and sounds like coming from back of motor

Yes, all have donuts.
Get it fixed ASAP before any flange damage is done.
And get copper ones. Screw the stock woven wire graphite junk.

Just finished changing the donuts on my 2012 Vector LTX with 4000 miles. I wanted to check them and get the sled ready for next year.
The donuts looked very good and probably didn't need changing for awhile. I did change them since I had it apart.

While in there take a skim off the clamp bushing so the clamp can go tighter and will not loosen which seems to be one of the causes for early donut wear.

Regardless of donut style you want clamp snug so it can’t rotate once tightened.
