2011 xtx is what I have.
My buddy has brand new E-tec.
I beat him right from the take off several times.

I guess I should say that it was not by a lot, but was always ahead a few sleds.

Well my results are a little different my 2011 apex gets it handed to it pretty bad by the 800 renegade etec's ive raced they pull away right from the start and at the end of the lake they are usually 3-4 sleds ahead mine is a 128 with a 1 inch hachsaw

Well, I've haven't raced anyone w/ my Apex yet, but I also wouldn't be expecting a whole lot out of a 1" track either, unless it was studded to the gills. You may be losing any race right from the hole shot, when the torque blows the track up. Just my $.02.

I raced a 2012 Renegade Backcountry yesterday. It has at least a 2" lug track so the first race it took me out of the hole but I caught up and passed him fairly quickly. When we raced back I got the hole shot and never seen him! Mine is a stock 2011 Apex std.
There was a Polaris 800 XCSP lined up as well but he didnt come close either time.
