2012 vector ltx
First off, I have read all the postings regarding this oil pressure switch/ open circuit code. They appear to be mostly on older sleds.
I have the code up on my 2012 but it hasn't affected the speed or RPM's and the oil level is correct.
The sled only has 2500 km. (1550 miles) on it.
Can anyone please answer the following questions:
1. The wire(s) that go to the oil pressure switch that come up the side of the block behind the primary clutch, is it the single wire with the small white plug or the 2 wire loom with the black plug?
2. Is the procedure for clearing diagnostic codes on the 2012 the same as the older (2007 to 2009) sleds and do all Yamaha models use the same procedure?
3. Will this code on a 2012 clear itself (is it self healing)if it was a false code and if the sled is driven far enough?
4. Can you get at the oil pressure switch on this Vector by removing the plate in the BellyPan that has to be removed to do oil changes?

The oil pressure is a single wire and the switch is normally closed to ground. It's located near the oil filter. If a previous fault condition is corrected the code should no longer be displayed but is stored in the ECU's history. The process for clearing code history on the fuel injection models are all the same but there may be minor difference in the diagnostic mode.
