Doo just showed their 2012 line.. What a snoozefest.. It was just a preview as the full line up will be released tomorrow , But wow.. Disappointing

I will be heading out to Yellowstone Montana for the 2012 Snow Shoot media previews and 4 days of riding 2012's from each manufacturer. I'll report on what I learn shortly after their confidentiality dates expire.

I'd be shocked if Yamaha came out with anything groundbreaking much less a 2 stroke. The backbone of their product is the 4 stroke. Arctic Cat on the other hand, is a different story.

i dont understand y yamaha doesnt come out with valve lift in thier motors. yamaha made engines for the Toyota xrs and matrix and pontiac vibes and when the oil pressure reached a certain psi a new roller would open causing the valves to open longer creating more power on top. down fall is that this does not make torque. but the valve lift would be like power valves on a 2 stroke. so u use the torque down low to get u up to speed then make a but load of power with the lift and get this motor in a more balanced chassis. i wish they would do that.

A Snoozefest? They are bringing out a new rear skid, which is pretty serious business. Wait til Feb 28 intro of the new yamahas, I hope I'm wrong but I fear that might be the real disappointment.Comatoast said:
