They need to figure out how to keep their entire line from blowing up! They have some serious quality issues right now! In my shop right now I have a '12 RZR XP with 1 mile on it that a customer just bought all blown to shreds. I also have a '12 Ranger 500 brand new stock unit blown up due to oil pump failure, and just got a '12 800 assault sled with 305 miles on it blown up! Keep it coming to my shop Polaris!!!!pat the rat said:just looked at their line up,nothing exciting from them except for the lighter rmk,its not only yamaha that are playing it safe, they are not even trying in the 4stroke segment and that suprizes me

I've ridden several Rushes ( 800 and 600 ) and I can honestly say I would consider one. The are great handling sleds, ride the bumps great, decent power...very well rounded sled. I think the machines that IAVECTOGT has are isolated incidences. Poos 500 quad engine is normally bullet proof ( assuming the Ranger is using the same engine ). Also the RZR XP is an amazing machine...I'm assuming with 1 mile it something was missed during PDI. With all these low mile units coming in I assume you are a Polaris dealer...cause with low mileage wouldn't these be covered by warranty?. Even their latest 800 sled engine seems to be very reliable...a tad under powered but it works great in the trails.

i am not a fan of polaris atv's and sleds for that matter,i have towed my share of polaris sleds over the years, few guys i work with both have sportsman atv's,both 600,both clutches shredded into pcs after a 1000 miles or so, and 1 had a misaligned crankcase, never heard of that one before,he got a new engine under warranty, the list goes on and on,all brands have defects, but when all you hear is polaris this, polaris that,it kinda leaves a bad taste in your mouth

If they can figure out how to get a class leading engine in either the RMK or Rush chassis- look out because their market share will sky rocket.

You guys not see the Indy 600 for 2013 should sell quite well at only 8k mark.

The Indy is a great Idea....... and Yamaha doesn't even offer the stripped down Phazer anymore for a "price point" sled.

DING,
Polaris will quietly grow market share by doing some of the simple stuff, like offer a sled that appeals to many basic snowmobilers and has a legendary name, I bet some will buy just for the name alone. Though I am not a Polaris fan (at the bottom of my list) I do respect what they are doing and the innovations that they are bringing to the table. I think the issue both for them and AC is the size of the company, they will always be at a disadvantage to Yamaha in R&D and product sourcing. That alone may be my most frustrating issue with Yamaha, they have the power to build a insane sled, and everything to support it, but chose not to, allot of people rolling the dice and jumping ship for this very reason.

Well all i can say is i have never had problems with my polaris its a 2005 rmk and it has 6500 miles on it no problmes at all. i wanted the phazer and so i got it. ive had it since 08 and it has had something wrong every year, wether its the suspension breaking or starter relays going out and so on....so my point being everything breaks down even yamaha. granite i love the sled but, they all have there issues

The 2012 the 800's are way more reliable. One of the main culprits is the dealers not bleeding the oil pumps before selling the sleds.
They have the best mtn sled out there right now maybe not trail but polaris is making a come back.

according to Snowtrax TV, they really like the Adventure and the ProRush 800 Switchback. A true crossover. Just saying.
