2014 SR Viper Pics...Photo Shop or Real...LOL

Chain case looks like the Cat design? I don't know if I like that. Yamaha's chaincase with reverse caused me zero problems and that was even being cross country raced. I wonder if the reverse gear can be pulled out? I'll have to find out what the Iron Dog racers are running in their 1100's this year. Maybe it's a non issue?

So exciting to finally have a new Yamaha bump sled to look at!

Looks like they addressed the exhaust doughnut issue! I like them I just wish they had more "at home" feeling for yamaha faithful... vector gauge, nytro headlight, clear LED taillight, nytro snowflap, etc...

Can't wait to hear some reviews form people that ride them. I bet this will suck some cat faitful over to Yamaha just from the better sounding motor!

Thanks for the pics

To be honest if I were buying a new sled right now I would but the Cat High Country turbo. Yikes did I just say I'd buy a cat. Maybe I'll stick with the Nytro.[/quote]

Too funny , i was just on Arctic chat getting a feel for what they are thinking of all this going on .
It looks like the one guy on there thats been awake today ( Only saw like 2 comments refering to this deal ) wants to dump his new High Country turbo for the Viper !

Not even kidding !!!

Was pretty scary to see some of the issues they are having , polls for broken belts , cracked bulkhead threads , the list goes on.

uhh, what? Yami is supplying motors to AC, so the Cat faithful can just buy the same sled, but with arctic cat decals on the hood.

Chris Reid seemed to imply Yamaha had a huge part in testing these things too and their engineers were without a doubt a part of the process- alluding to riding one a year ago. If, big if, Yamaha improved the quality of the TRF plant everyone buying ACs next year should be very happy. People who saw the sleds- how did the details seem? Sloppy?

Yes but Cat is going to Yamaha 4-stroke motors. Can you imagine if they drop the 1050 with a turbo into the High Country.

I'm going to sit back and see which one of them does it; 141/1050 Turbo, that is what I would buy.

you and me too!!!but from the looks of things in the back of the motor i may be able to drop the mcx kit in there with a front mount style header 330 map for racing and 270 for trail that maybe the most fun you can have with you pants on!!!!

Man, I've owned a Procross 1100 na for two years now, and I have been saying from the beginning, this sled would be perfect with my old Nytro motor in it. And now it has it. You guys will not be disappointed with this chassis. You'll just have to get over the Cat thing. Looking at the pics with the panels off, I can see a few things that are different. Gonna be a nice sled.

If it is the Cat Chaincase setup (sure looks the same) may have to loose the reverse and do hyvo gears and chain. Lots about it on Cat HCS. I hope Yam got in and tweaked some of this as it sounded like weak point along with the Jackshaft. Not sure about I. Dog sleds my dealer is on a 1100n/a may have to ask him when he is done with the race.

really?

How about the apex motor in a cat. could be the new thundercat?

Why would they do that when they already have a motor pushing 180hp that they have had great luck with?

I have driven the sleds. I was very optimistic... I didnt want to like it because of the Cat Qualities... I wanted to hate it... I am telling you this sled is SOOO much fun to drive..
