West of Eagle River, Wisconsin home of the Eagle River Derby. Minoqua is a nice resort area.
The R&D land is actually west of the town of Minoqua.

Google earthed the above address. Looks like in April, 2010 imagery, there is an oval track layout along with a drag strip/landing field? on the west side of the small lake, by the buildings. A strange cleared open area in the trees south of the lake. We got all turned around last summer driving in that area.(South of Rte. 70) Finally had to retrace our track, or we would still be there!LOL ED. Whoops, didn't see your map before I posted.RR

Using Google ruler: about a 2000 foot straight track, and a close to 0.5 mile oval. Think any testing on the 2014 models was done there?

I have a so-called "premium" membership over there and after that post it pretty much says there is going to be a new short track sled this year and a long track sled next year and other off the wall posts from other people trying to stir the pot.
no real evidence on anything on any sight other than supposedly the mountian market dealers have been told they can stay home for this unveiling in feburary...

supposedly the mountian market dealers have been told they can stay home for this unveiling in feburary...

thats what vendor, dealers and christopher are saying on snowest. short track and xtx version changes this year, mountian segment next...

I was the one that posted on SW about the mountain dealers being excused from going to MN for the unveiling. My dealer is excused from going, I talked to him last Tuesday.

That leads me to believe that there will not be a major upgrade to any of the mountain sleds for 2014.

Just go to the top of the thread, select "print view" and you can read the posts past #75. You won't see pictures but its better than nothing

That's disappointing about the mountain sleds...I honestly thought Yamaha was going full bore. Didn't AK Rider say something about setting ourselves up for disappointment?
