I am just wondering if anyone with a Stx dx bought the 2-up seat? if so do you need the rear bumper bracket kit? Also how easy is it to take the back rack off?

The back rack mounts on the heavy duty rear bumper's two mounting holes on each side. This is the same bumper used to mount the rear seat.
There are three mounting holes on each side of the rear Heavy Duty bumper. I dont know what holes the passenger seat mounts in.
Each of the mounting locations on the bumper have screw holes that retain the mounting posts. Remove the screws, pull up on the mounting posts, and put the locking screws away for future use!

I think this will clarify any questions you might have!

It looks like there are four mounting points on each side, so looks like I'm wrong you don't have to remove the rear rack to install the seat. That makes it even easier to install! Congratulations, great choice!

Thanks Again, Yes i am really excited.. Coming off a older Rev, this is going to night and day.. I understand that this is a new model for the viper and probably the dealer didn't realize that it had it already.. i am disappointed that i have waited for over a month, Hopefully i can get it this week. Now when riding 2-up how does the suspension take it? Is it hard on it? do you just add more air to the fox float 3?I think this will clarify any questions you might have!

Just add more air to the float three. I'm not familiar with the Fox Float three on the rear position. Perhaps Cannondale27 could suggest a person better able to answer that question or answer it himself. I do know that it will take some trials to get it close, perhaps 10 pounds at a at a time and then 2 pound increments as you get closer.

I just looked at the Yamaha Canada site and it shows the same configuration as I've been pulling from the US site!
Perhaps you guys could get together and develop general setup requirements for using the rear seat on the XTX chassis.
I don't remember anybody doing any setups on the Viper with a rear seat!
Good luck, enjoy, and keep us apprised of your findings!

Well, i had a few little issues, broke the primary clutch spring 4 times. after the 2 time i should of went and got a clutch kit from ulmer. i'm not a fan of the tuner ski's as they push in the corners really bad. brother inlaw has c&a's on his xtx and its a world of difference. As for riding with the 2 up seat its a awesome sled. add more air in the rear float shock and its like no ones behind ya. i put on just over 5000kms and i had the hot start issue once.. this year its getting curves skis, clutch kit and a exhaust..Hillbilly 2015...just wondering how the STX-DX did for you last season....any feedback or thoughts?
