I suppose I better get the oldXTC 700 Deluxe. 1998 ready for trade in LOL. My family does not like parting with this old trusted friend. She has been a good ole girl that's for sure
 

You might keep the XTC as a guest/backup sled. I'm keeping the 01 sxr700 for guests & my son. Still bulletproof.
 
I had to give up one sled when both Vipers arrived. Just couldn't sell one so I gave my SRX to a friend a little down on luck who will love and cherish it as much or perhaps more than I!

Well that was very nice! Wish I even had the room to keep more than two sleds!

Sold my old RX1 a few days ago, really hated to see it go but if you don't ride it more than 20 miles a year what ya gonna do?
 
I have been using the XTC As back up sled but now have been told I have to many so traded 2 for 1 - 06 Apex and the 98 XTC traded in on the Viper.

im still waiting for my new viper,dealer said he should have an idea in another few weeks,but he said they will not be as late as they were last year,and the spring order sleds will be priority !!!!! i cant wait....woo hoo bring it on
 
I'll measure when I get back from fishing this weekend. The dealer told me and I didn't look carefully. He did say it was a "basic" setup with one being short and that it will wear quickly. He basically said it's set up pretty in the middle and to let him know how I like it and they will help dial it in. The dealer rides the same trails I do (mix of farms & twisties in the woods) and he recommended the Viper over AC & Polaris sleds they sell for the trails I ride (but they are all pretty good now). I bleed blue but he didn't know that when I first stopped in looking for a new sled.
 
Thanks good to hear he liked the Yamaha for trails.
 
Looks like a 3" and longer square runner on the outsides. I couldn't get a good look at it with a measure as it was getting dark.

One strange thing, I could not find the seat heater switch? It shows it in the manual just above/left of the gas fill cap, but it is definitely not where the manual shows? I think they forgot the seat heater or the manual is wrong? I looked it over and could not find the seat heater switch anywhere else, any suggestions?
 
Like the manual says below the bars and to the LH side should be a big rocker switch that looks like this:
