Looking to see if anyone has any ideas.....

2016 viper, upgraded rods, factory approved MPI 190 kit installed.

The EABC has never worked, whatever my wastegate is set at is what I get for boost, 7lbs at home 3000ft, and 7lbs at 9000ft. At first MPI though it was the programming, sent it to them for a reflash with no change, now they have gone silent and don't seem to want to help me out.

I am tired of trying to make it work, just going to install a manual boost tee to adjust boost like my Nytro had, however the sensing line location on the compressor has a pressed in plug. Will the boost tee still work as intended if it is installed from the intake plenum to the wastegate in place of the EABC?

Here's a vid of my rig so this post is at least a little interesting....

Have you tried picking up a used eabc

You want to remove the EABC or just tee in boost gauge?

Yeah I was just going to remove the EABC and put in a boost tee, it was just the plumbing I was worried about, when I installed one on my Nytro it just went between the compressor and wastegate, but like I said there is no compressor sensing line, it comes off the intake plenum.

There should still be a line coming off the blow off, that's the one you want to tie into for boost gauge. The line from top of plenum should bypass EABC box and go to waste gate.

I don’t know turbos but if you are at the same boost at 3 and 9000 ft I would think your EABC is working since without it boost would be lost at altitude.

I would have to agree with Carbondale 27 but all my experience with these MPI kits are not good i can't believe that Yamaha was ever involved with those clowns. They don't build the proper boost, there intake sucks, and there muffler restricts way to much. Again this is all my opinion but there are way better and simpler kits out there. There is a reason why they are no longer in business. Now you have all these customer out there that bought these kits and no one to answer any questions cause there out of buisness.

First off, I have 9000 miles on mine and another one that I installed as 10000 miles and all the problems are the sleds being able to handle the power not really MPIs product. But on that note, their customer service blows and lots of issues with small things that never set us back from a day of riding but are we bitching about MPI or trying to help out a guy in need?

All the restrictions and design criteria was set by Yamaha. The muffler restrictions was from what I understand because of sound restrictions set by Yamaha.

10-4 sorry I blew up, Im glad the you have had good luck with MPI'S product but I have worked on several that did not work worth a crap and I'm pretty sure it had something to do with those cheese controller they used.
