Want to throw this out there see if anyone had any issues.. Used my sled yesterday for about a 80 km run. Almost got back an stopped for a break an noticed oil dripping on the snow. Identified that it was wngine oil an deff not gear oil, i looked the machine over.. Checked oil. Everything seemed fine. Got back home done further check over an found nothing. The sled was in for a service few weeks ago so i bring it back to the dealer an they couldnt find anything. No hose clamp, no filter issues! The machine only has 800 kms. An stored in a warm garage always! Was never tipped on it side or tipped over or never froze! Being a yamaha owner all my life an famaliar with the 4 stroke engines from the apex to the viper. I never seen this before. Any one else ever see this happen ?

You might have better luck posting this in the Viper section and the Phazer MTX one. G.B.

Maybe when the dealer did the oil change some spilled into the right lower sidepanel and made its way out or it could have been overfilled and come out the airbox. Have you checked your oil level?Want to throw this out there see if anyone had any issues.. Used my sled yesterday for about a 80 km run. Had a similar problem with my 16 LTX DX. Have the dealer replace the oil separator. Apparanetly the check ball inside can freeze and cause the oil to burp out. Had mine replaced under warrabty. Dealer said there is an updated part.Want to throw this out there see if anyone had any issues.. Used my sled yesterday for about a 80 km run.
