Well the 2016's are here too see and there was a good turnout for opening night on a holiday Easter weekend, I would imagine tomorrow will be packed all day long. Yamaha has their sleds on display along with Polaris & Ski Doo butt there was no sign of Arctic Cat being a presence...Maybe they Broke Down..lol...J/K
Stopped in at the SNOMAN Booth for a quick visit as always they do a Great Job and there will be some Expansion in their program for next year with Government assistance. Hopefully we will have a season that starts early and end late like 2013/2014 was as this year was most disappointing with the lack of snow.
NOTHING REALLY caught MY EYE and had me getting my check book out as there wasn't any serious APEX changes for ME, lots of sweet sleds by Yamaha with some real nice Mtn rides. The VIPER SECTION seems too have grown 129, 137, 141, 162 all with GREAT COLORS, POWDER COATED SKIDS, COMFY SEATS and a Variety Of Shocks. The touring Venture was pretty nice with lots of useful add ons but not my thing just yet....BUTT ALL YAMAHA’s had Limited Accessories as everyone else has lots of snap on or quick release stuff as most of us like too carry Extras as in maps, tape, water, food, clothing, gear and some tools and it's a nice alternative to a pack back as a lot of us put on 200 to 500 miles in a day. I was REALLY SURPRISED on how many people were in amongst the Polaris & Doo sleds and how few were IN, ON, OR AROUND the YAMAHA's....EVEN with a SMOKIN HOTT Long Haired Blonde Yamaha Rep
SKI DOO had some radical lookin sleds with AWESOME fitting snap on snap off luggage and accessories. They really DOO add some KOOL stuff that YAMAHA seems to miss the boat on. There was also was a very good selection of rides to fit your riding needs, especially in the Mtn stuff with some LOOOOONG Sleds with Radical Colors and Shocks with some pretty KOOL ADJUSTING LEVERS for QUICK AND EASY ADJUSTMENTS with your gloves on. Gotta give FULL MARKS too DOO for thinkin outside the box and adding things people seem to be asking for. There was a lot of excited Doo guys around ALL the Various Models takin pix and yackin about what they were planning on buying. I expect too see a lot of NEW BLIZZARDS on the trails next season around here as that sled seemed to be drawing the most attention next to the Summit's & Renegades. But I did hear something I've NEVER HEARD from too many Hard Core Doo guys in amongst the Doo Faithful, they were WISHIN THEIR DOO's HAD YAMAHA MOTORS in those SWEET NEW DOO's, YEP...YAMAHA MOTORS ARE THE BEST..PERIOD!!!!!
Polaris has some sweet lookin rides for this year with some Kool colors and Graphics and some pretty crazy front ends & rear collapsible rear suspensions. Some of their Pro series sleds had some pretty sweet and comfy seats that were small but you stuck like glue to them. They had one model that had and I mean HUGE WIDE Skis for flotation and one model that was black with pink ofc there were lots of gals checkin that one out
They had some pretty scary wrap around rear passengers bars that literally locked up and keep you in there, I guess those are for normal riding style riders as I know I would be a little nervous sittin in there.
All in All.......It seems that all the manufactures have SOMETHING for Everyone no matter what brand loyalty you are and what riding style you have SOMEONE has something for you. I did notice EVERYONE has a MONSTER SIZE windshield with mirrors either mounted on the windshield or the bars on their touring model.....BUTT... BUTT... BUTT on ALL PERFORMANCE / TRAIL MODELS the windshields were soooooooooooooo small they covered nothing but the gauges; I've seen More Coverage On A Stripper. ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY “YAMAHA” Still has the “BEST FIT & FINISH” & “MOST RELIABLE MOTORS” as far as colors, decals, designs, seats, skids, shocks and over all weight……there is soooooooooooo much to choose from. Some are going too like something’s and hate other things as that is the nature of the beast.
I will be quite happy Ridin my "BOOSTED" 09 Apex LTX GT with HID's, BOOSTED HAND & THUMB WARMERS, CUSTOM REAR SKID, ALL NEW REVALVED SHOCKS, PAINTED & POWDER COATED & UPHOSTERED plus STEINER LIGHTS and READY TOO WHOOP #*$&@ Ridin Double as Co Pilot says...."JUST BRING IT".......WE LOVE Beatin Those Yellow, Green ones the Most Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Enjoy The 2016 Show, Enjoy Your Easter Weekend & Enjoy Your Summer......See Ya On The Manitoba Trails Next Year.

Twas exactly the same at the Ottawa show. Tons of people looking over Doos, so so at Poo, Cats were no-shows but Yamaha was almost deserted. Maybe it's because there hasn't been a new sled or redesign since the Viper. I was looking at the touring sleds (GT and Venture TF) and I have to say that feature wise and bang for the buck, Doo has it. The only things the blue camp had were the engine and power steering but Doo had so many features. Yamaha are just so slow to innovate and dollar for dollar, you get way more with the Doo.

Love the smoking hot blonde next to the sleds. I think I met her before! I will say if Ski-Doo ever turns their 1200 into a SS model making 150 hp it would be enough to make me jump ship.

Same as every year. Theoretically, the newest sled is the Viper, which was released for 2014, which was released by Arctic Cat for 2012. If Yamaha comes out with something actually new and inspiring, then it will get busy too.
