Dan,
Don't believe everything you read. FAKE NEWS. The 137" transfers like a SOB with traction and power, so much so you can't use all the power sometimes! I bough a Racewerx block so I could transfer LESS!
The guys that can't transfer on 137's must be riding bare tracked stockers, not studded tuned sleds.
I agree 100%. As you had stated on one of last years post Mike, people may confuse transfer with ski lift. Love how my 137 comes out of the hole! But it does not wheelie at all like the 129. All in what you want, I have tried both out whereas my riding buddy purchased an 17 RTX which is a 129” of course. They both shine in different aspects of ride, handling, etc.

You say transfer, if a 129 and a 137 lined up, my money is on the 137 being out front from a stop off the line, the 129 second and the 121 third.I agree 100%. It's interesting because my 129" rarely/doesn't lift skis at all unless perhaps I'm at a stop and hammer the throttle. Certainly doesn't do it in tight trails from corner to corner. I have the transfer blocks on "thinest" but still. I had my sled setup by a suspension shop to corner flat not sure if that's why but I don't get that playfulness at all.
I wish I could meet up with Dan and just see what he's talking about lol
I also don't get any loose traction, this thing seems to grip REALLY well out of a corner, coming into a corner there's almost too many studs and I only have 135 x 1.575 Megabites. I was thinking of removing the studs on the outside of the just to see.
Need to find a MXZ with 850 to test drive ASAP.

The 129 is more playful because it can be made to lift skis easily. Not so easy on the 137.

I guess my setup is all wrong somehow, weird, will have to take another look. It's fast and planted through in nice flowing trails but I wouldn't call it playful. The 129 is more playful because it can be made to lift skis easily. Not so easy on the 137.

Jump on a 137, you will see a noticeable difference, but yeah set ups matter.

While I didnt have that particular spring, I used a 160 lb cat spring and it made a huge difference in ride and did help pick the front end up easier.
Interesting... you have the part #'s by chance? Thx

If you want the 137 to wheelie just modify or remove your block stops to how much slower you want to go across the lake or in the trails ...lol

Thanks Dan..Dont get me wrong, the 137 can go through tight trails well too, for me its really the fact I was able to get alot more transfer from mine(this year) by moving my rod back 7mm. Its become far more playful then it was last yr. When I completely removed the blocks off the rod on the 2017 137, It still had poor transfer. Both near same traction, albeit a whimpy tune on the 17 which surely had some to do with it.
If you want a 129''...call Dewildt in Innisfil(Barrie) Ont...He literally has dozens of leftovers and many are '18 129s, but SE's.
Dan
I’ve already been to Dewildt and yes they do have high numbers in stock but there is another dealer witch has better pricing.

I rode a 137 all 2017....I removed the blocks first, nada....then removed the entire rod. Still not what I wanted. Im lighter then many here maybe?....Im around 185lbs and sit right on the tank up front. Only stud up middle. If you want the 137 to wheelie just modify or remove your block stops to how much slower you want to go across the lake or in the trails ...lol
Unless you have owned and worked on both skids, its hard to understand the differences I found. Being a Doo guy you get used to Rmotion and how it is playful and can be raised in the nose at will.

Yeah I agree....I had to laugh at the pricing he had. I assume those prices will be dropping soon with so many non currents. I found with Dewildt, you just make an offer and tell him you want to talk with owner. I ended up get a killer price but still ended up buying at home. Thanks Dan..

That place is a total joke when it comes to the sales side of life. An old friend of mine from way back is in the shop, and he’s a fantastic tech, but unless something has really changed for the better, the guys out front don’t have a clue.Yeah I agree....I had to laugh at the pricing he had. When were you in NB. I’m 99% sure that is just by the store in arthorette, by the Carl’s electric worming shelter in my home trial system.Yes they look good with the 19 SE windshield View attachment 147089
Looks like a total chassis overhaul and keep it another year... lol
