I think the Statement was easy on the guy because he “Crashed” the sled. Things can break when you crash. Just my thought.Yamaha realeased a statement about the incident. It was on a magazine ride. The mag guys broke the rear skid. That is why the doo is in the back ground. Not real good look when the guys that are going to write a review of your sled and it breaks.
Sure hope we are going to see some new stuff and not just a bunch of BNG. I know I’m not the only one who has been patiently waiting for several years.

Holy The earth is flat, Elvis is alive, and Sasquatch is real.......well we know that one is true, he's right here on TY.
I think this is exactly as presented. Media day with the prototypes. Photo gets taken not by Yamaha and leaked online. This photo was not just seen by a few people. It spread like wildfire through the FB snowmobile pages. I had the pic sent to me by almost every snowmobiling friend I have via text or messenger the day it was leaked. Most the modern snowmobile community saw the pic. Yamaha gives us the response letter and a teaser pic to hopefully calm the backlash.
It all makes perfect sense to me.
As far as the sled breaking from a hard tail landing, it was unfortunate it happened at that time but every sled will break from a true hard tail landing. The brand bashers like to regurgitate the small number of bent Alpha pics so they can say "I told you so" but you can easily find pics of every brand sled out there with bent rails from hard tail landings.
That's my take......Oh and it looks like I'm snowchecking a new Sidewinder Riot at this point.

I found a Canadian patent from Yamaha, it looks like like the Ac front end...did Yamaha design the current front and give it to cat back in the day?

Most whacked theory yet. Yami made this whole thing up as a slap in the face to cat. Yami pulls a big surprise and realeases a jap designed built in georgia all new chassis with mono 3 rear and tuner 4 skis and pyramid designed made of carbon fiber type material and a jack shaft driven supercharger 880cc 2 stroke. Hahaha

.........Yep... we took the bait, Yamy guy's are very vulnerable this time of year, we are just so desperate and it seems like WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOREVER for Yamaha to give us a new cutting edge chassis with either the winder engine in it or a totally new sled and engine that does NOT have any Cat DNA what's so ever, this would give the true blue's hope, but i'm afraid we will be stuck with the OLD Cat pro cross with new stickers 3ft long spindles and easter egg paint scheme and charge a extra 1000 bucks for it, ok.... enough ranting.Did a google.search no such name at yamaha, believe nothing at this time of year . Getting played, think I doo.

I feel sorry for those of you who are desperate for a new all Yamaha sled. I have seen enough and have been hearing wait till next year for too long. I have moved on and I’m now in the I don’t care phase of a relationship that has gone bad. If they do come out with something, oh well. If not, oh well. Doesn’t matter to me. It’s not like they pay me or give me anything for free. Just not going to put any credibility to Yamaha saying they’re serious about the snowmobile business and great things are coming. They are not.

I just realized getting home from trip , on this pic with the bigger picture on my iPad. The picture has been photo shopped , the first sled is bigger than the sled being towed. Skidoo must be sending fake pictures this has trump & fake news all over it ...lolView attachment 146882
You guys really think that doo is just out and about with the guys at Yamaha?

Yes you are right mototown, good eye, also the sled being towed doesn’t look like it belongs in the picture as you can see a definitive snow line where the track and belly pan is lol. It’s all fake..

Why would you think it’s BS? The pics and letter are on Yamaha’s Facebook account and Instagram....you think that Yamaha themselves photo shopped a picture?

Not trying to be to obvious here, but, don't you think that Yamaha would have removed the post by now if they didn't want it there?
