I was THIS CLOSE to ordering the STX, or the Barge, as I took to calling it. The extra fuel, added luggage capabilities and what I can imagine is a super comfy ride for saddlebag trips really appealed to me. The high speed stability I can only imagine would be great. I wouldn't really use the 2 up seat, just take it off an store it.I never thought I would meet another person on here, never mind 2 people that ordered/have the stx! I definately consider it a mama bear sled, but I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy my time setting it up for my wife.
One of the main reasons for a new purchase for me was the new front end geometry along with the EPS. Unfortunately, they gave it the EPS but with the older style front end. That sealed it for me and I went with the LTX-GT.
Someday I can see me getting one.......

Yes, unfortunately I was not stoked about the premuim price with the old front end, but it is the perfect sled for my wife

My wife has arthritis in her hands, so often she can't last on long trips. So the thinking was to get an L-TX and an S-TX so she can double up with me on the S-TX on days we want to go on a long trip and she doesn't want to drive, but have the L-TX for when it's me and other trail buddies , or shorter trips for the two of us.
And ya, the RS Ventures are like big Cadillacs . Just hated the drone!
My dealer let me know my orders might be late, but he hasn't sold my traded RS Ventures yet, so I might use those until the new one comes in. But really looking forward to the new ones!

My wife also has arthritis in her hands which is why I bought her the Venture GT with EPS. Previously she was on an Attak. She enjoys the EPS and it helps her ride longer. Also on days she doesn't want to drive, we go 2up on it. Works great! I'd really like to upgrade to an S-TX EPS for her next year. Almost pulled the trigger last spring. It would be nice to get the newer front end, especially for the premium price.

I don't know what to believe anymore. My buddy got the call today that his LTX-GT with EPS will be at the dealer next week. He went with All Around Power in VT. He ordered his sled after me, WTF?

I take it as a sign of hope for mine .
Good question about the "order of the orders" though. You would hope that it would be in the order that we forked over our deposits!

All the sleds that showed up at my dealer in september, including mine were built in june.Just heard that first Thundercats will be built mid Nov. So perhaps that's when next batch of Sidewinders will be built too.
Is it through that all Winders delivered so far are summer builts? I know Jon's is but what about the rest of you guys?

did I miss something on the front end? I have a 2020, how old is this front end? Not sure what I'm missing but I do love this sled, with the new skis that's gone on I'm sure it will be an even better sled than trying to navigate in deeper snow with the tuner skis. Also, I put on the GSE power steering and it is unbelievable, the tendonitis I have in the elbow's love it too. With EPS, the 600cc 2 stroke sleds have no chance in the tight twisty's...the STX-GT is so much more than a couch lol. I dont know for sure how old it is, but it sure looks the same as our 2014 viper ltx. Until I get my stx, I won't be able to put them side by side and comparedid I miss something on the front end?
