2022 Preorder build dates/delivery dates

I think you will be ok. The SRX and LTX SE seem to be the first sled arriving at dealers.

I think it's going to be the EPS sleds that are late.
Excuse me while I gently weep thinking about my S-TX GT and L-TX GT showing up in Feb....

Trust me when I say that even that tiny little windshield is better than no windshield at all, I rode about 200km without one because mine was broken and I was riding to a destination where a guy was selling me a used tall windshield. My hands were very very sore for about 2 weeks afterwards, I was having trouble gripping anything, and even putting on my gloves hurt lol. What struck me is the amount of air that hits you in the chest and constantly pushes on you, you would be surprised!
One thing I miss about the Venture TF is that huge windshield, it makes for a very warm sled. Also, I use gauntlets, I don't care what I look like I want warm hands, I kinda think they look cool...I'm not a kid anymore. I use a signal light so I don't have to use hand signals to oncoming groups and my hands keep warm and on the steering bars where they belong...people are more concerned about hand signals than they are about safety. Let's face it, we're all supposed to be riding to the right and cautiously at all times not just when another group approaches...lets stay safe out there and warm, no need for mild case of frostbite like Kuzzy suffered. Joe

The frost bite definately sucked, but I swear every muscle in my hands was pulled from hanging on and taking the full brunt of the wind to the torso. That little bikini windshield is way better than nothing at all. The only positive thing that happened that trip is that my gps on my ram mount being open to the wind never moved a bit. I'm pretty impressed with it.

+1 on this. I rode over 4500km last winter on an RS Venture, and that was a really warm machine to ride. I was never once cold, even at +50mph in -25c weather.

I was planning on getting some handlebar muffs, so I like the idea of the signal lights - hadn't even considered getting my hands in and out of the muffs quickly enough for signaling. Thanks for the tip! :)

my hands are all over the place on my handle bars when i ride the tight and twisties, ive tried muffs, but they dont work well for me. I am looking very closely at the skinz grizzly gauntlets tho. If Chris Burandt can ride the mountains with them on, then i think i can make something work for me haha. Or at worst i get something that is easy on/off so i can put them on when im cold.

Very nice
Is it vinyl?
Thanks. Yes. Went to a decal shop gave them measurements of tunnel. The orange is extremely close to what’s on the sled stock. The Yamaha symbol is vinyl also just overlayed. It’s orange also. Just a lighter orange. I think I paid like 30 bucks for both pieces

Did you take the gas tank off to put it on?

No went right up to it. I did drill out the 2 rivets on the tail light. The ones on top of the tunnel. Then lifted the light up slightly and ran the vinyl under that. I did a wet in stall on it. Soapy water. Done plenty of vinyl and some window tint in my day. 14.75” by 25” is what I had them make. I rounded the corners myself so not to have corners that could pull up. Heat gun and a felt squeegee around the rivets. Patience. Don’t overheat the vinyl!

the gauntlets I use are a cloth material that attaches to the bars using velcro, easy on and off, I think Kathadin makes them. When the wife ride on the back she has gauntlets, basically the same but have Arctic cat stitched on them...it's a must have for her and it makes a huge difference. Some gauntlets have isinglass window so you can see hand and warmer controls..these are pretty nice.

Derek, wait till you ride your new sled, you will be amazed at how much nicer the STX GT is over the Venture...and no track drone!!! It's stable and easy to ride. I have a 2020 STX GT and I added GSE power steering which I like more than the Yamaha version of EPS..I've had both types of EPS. I actually got a couple miles of riding in on Nov. 3rd up on Tug Hill NY...the snow will be here soon!! Joe

I never thought I would meet another person on here, never mind 2 people that ordered/have the stx! I definately consider it a mama bear sled, but I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy my time setting it up for my wife.
