A Dealer video launch. That speaks volumes.

Guess we know it will only be BNG and nothing new for 2023. Kinda what I figured it would be.

Cat has to do their release first.....
Catman Doo! Lol! Sorry not ripping on you. Just trying to make light on a difficult situation.

The ONLY way to get Yamaha to change the current situation is to quit buying their sleds. We are in what, 10 years into this production agreement with Cat and it just keeps getting worse. Yamaha is now content with simply selling blue Arctic Cats. They don’t even have ANY Yamaha parts on them. If it’s a 2-stroke it’s 100% Cat. Even the 4-strokes have fewer models, fewer Yamaha parts, and just keep getting more and more out dated and bland.

Yamaha will be forced to do something different if people quit buying them.

Agree 100%

Nothing new from Yamaha this year, expect some minor changes. EPS on the vipers this year, but that’s about it.

Don’t shoot the messenger….

If we quit buying the yamacats I think it is far more likely the snowmobile division closes up before we see pure Yamaha snowmobiles.

Its the same type of announcement we get every year. So although you may not be too far off, I wouldn't base it off that.

This is the long goodbye like Alzheimer's where Yamaha forgets how to make a sled. The agreement will stand until Yamaha clears out the engine parts already manufactured. I predict the Viper goes extinct before it ever gets power steering.

They still make Vipers???
I believe there was only one model last year, the dark blue & regal gold which I love so much but they didn’t offer the EPS on it. I would’ve bought it.

Maybe there won’t be any vipers this year, who knows. From what I was just told the viper/s will have EPS. Who knows….

Honestly if Yamaha wanted to capitalize on selling the maximum number of units and being truly competitive it should of started last year. The ship has sailed on Yamaha stepping outside the box and charging ahead. They are just offering the sleds to keep people in the loop to buy their other products.

I read a article that the snowmobile demand is in the rise and expected to be its highest in 2026 plus.

Now Speaking specifically for the mountain segment. I feel the sidewinder mtx was the best handling mountain sled they could of built. There’s now way they were going down that direction on there own. Unfortunately it was too late , the 4 stroke fad was falling dramatically out west.

I’m still a fan and hopeful they will bring back the mtx if they are going to continue with sleds.

Really no different when they were hardcore into triples. The others where bringing out lightweight twins with more hp. Always a step behind.
