After all the info about chain slack is it possible that a 22 top may be too tight? I'm going to get some stretch (I know hyvos don't stretch much but they still do a little) out of it with a couple hundred miles and have a look during the 10hr inspection before I proceed....

you should be fine...I remember when I ran a full set of taylors gears and he said its going to be tight and you wont need a tensioner...you wouldnt believe how hard that setup was to get on...and yep..no tensioner needed...and yet...it stretched slightly later....the nice thing about bigger top gear is starting to get rid of the dogleg...

22 fits without issue even with only 200 miles on chain.
