290 -300 muffler package , will go about 4- 5 seconds pinned on 91-92 before it blinks.
You will find the 270 hp is more than enough, for most trails . You will come out of a corner, pin it for 2-3 seconds, then you back it off to half throttle to cruise at 80-85 mph .
Maybe you have week fuel or a boost leak or both, mine will go WAY longer than 4-5 seconds, more like 20 and I figure I have a boost leak as well.

Same for me. No real issues with the Hurricane trail muffler tunes on my 17. Going to be running the stock muffler tunes on my 20 though.

So there is now a 300 tune for stock muffler? I thought 270 was the max for a stock muffler .

Just keeping it simple on this one. I did a ton of stuff on the 17. Just going with tunes, map sensor and clutching on this one.can I ask why ? was the trail muffler to loud?
The trail muffler isn't as loud as some of the other mufflers out there. It's reasonable at low rpm's. Sounds great wide open (to me anyways), but the tone at mid rpm cruising wears on me after a while. It's still my everyday sled. The 20 is more of a backup/spare for friends. I only bought it because the only weekend I was home last season to ride my sled was torn apart.

I am hoping my trail muffler doesn't drone when cruising. I have the Precision EFI muffler.....

Agree, when I run the TD SQ it also wears on me after a while.Just keeping it simple on this one. I did a ton of stuff on the 17. Just going with tunes, map sensor and clutching on this one.

Eager to hear feedback on the 3 inch PEFI from Stain. Looks really well built.

All depends if you want more noise or not, both Turbo Dynamics and Hurricane make stock muffler tunes that run very strong and it is stock sound. you cant go wrong with the 2 i mentioned, I run TD Max16 stock muffler with TD header and now just doing the closed loop. my set up runs very good, power and response is very strong with stock muffler, its more than you would expect.I will be going with this tune package also , as soon as I have a few miles on the stock one, (2021), I am leaning toward the package offered by Black Diamond Extreme, they say their perf muffler/ tune package is close to stock sound level

Do you think the header is worth it? So, you must be around 285 with the header? All depends if you want more noise or not, both Turbo Dynamics and Hurricane make stock muffler tunes that run very strong and it is stock sound. you cant go wrong with the 2 i mentioned, I run TD Max16 stock muffler with TD header and now just doing the closed loop. my set up runs very good, power and response is very strong with stock muffler, its more than you would expect.

Did you get the same 2.5” trail muffler I did? I have limited time with it but I find it similiar to stock so far without the weird tinny tone........better sound and low volume. Not much exhaust noise at all cruising, very very happy so far.I am hoping my trail muffler doesn't drone when cruising. I have the Precision EFI muffler.....

The header is a expensive part, only the buyer can justify if its worth it. i can tell you that TD told me the header with Max16 stock muffler would be about 8 - 10 HP over stock manifold. I know it was making more power because i had to add more clutch weight to bring my RPM back to 8900-9000. by seat of pants it felt like more than 8-10 HP especially in mid range, bottom end was pretty much the same but at 6,000 RPM it pulled a lot harder than max16 stock manifold. top speed is the same because i run out of gear but it gets there faster with the header. Yes, with the closed loop set up TD is telling me around 285HP.Do you think the header is worth it? So, you must be around 285 with the header?

I went with the trail muffler not so much for the peak power but increased throttle response.
