so realy what is your point here about recalls ..

Wait just a minute here, the RX-1 has had Zero recalls :!:

I'm thinking of 2 scenerios.

RSVector replaces the Venom

RSRage is either a snopro version with a 136" track or
the RSRAge is the 1300cc 4stroke I heard about.

I'm hoping they get back into snox personally! We'll see in a couple weeks.

if the f7 had 15 recalls maybe the f10 will hit the big 20 haha, jk

hey cowboy there is and only was 6 recals on the f7 and the f5 and the f6
i dont know were you get some of your info . i have a f7 and all the letters from cat since i got my f7 the day they came in at the dealer .

and hum yamaha rx1 had some too . but they dont spend the money like poo and cat to recall all the probs , they make us buy the fix . like links and bar, and few others.

rx1 has had 4 to 5 recalls since been out i have all the letters too.

A recall is something that has to be fixed or the sled breaks down... The rx-1 had NO recall.. They have updates... A broken link or a weak sway bar isnt going to keep you from riding it...

However a low setting on the oil pump on a F7 will Cause it to blow up..Along with the Red Skis..!!

My buddy works part time at a Cat dealer in Iowa.. I beieive there is 14 or 15 RECALLS on the 03 F7..

I could get a hold of him if you want and list them for you... that way you can get if fixed!!

Right on welterracer :!:

I have several customers with F-whatevers, and there are several issues that need to be addressed or failures will result.

In general the fit & finish, and general quality of these sleds is terrible. IMHO

Sorry if this post offends anyone. just my .02

no well here we go DAN

#1 carbs on rx1 mnt,
#2 seats,
#3 rivests on tunnel
#4 links, and swaybar

but yamaha dont have recalls that they pay out of there pockets they are the smart ones they make us buy them so they dont have too spend there money ..

so realy cat has free updates .. that they pay for for .

and 1 more thing WHAT GIVES YOU GUYS THE RIGHT TO BITCH ABOUT F7? none of you that cry have owned a f7 ..
i have and also own a rev800ho . i do know what they have for prob's
and they all have there faire share of them .

bottom line is we have to put tons of money in our rx1 to even compet with a f7 or a f6 or a rev .. to try and beat a stock f7 ... or a stock f6 ...

Well I for one bought my sled for more than racing every other brand out there. There will always be someone faster than you are. I learned that from drag racing my motorcycle. I bought my sled with the hope that it will last more than 10,000 miles and that it will give me good performance to outlast my loan for 4 years on it. I have had motorcycles for years and found that even in performance bikes the engines would go alot of miles riden hard and drag raced. I also have had many snowmobiles all stock and have had 2 unknown engine failures. Could have been small piece of #*$&@ in the jet or a small amount of water in the fuel or whatever but when the engine was torn down in both cases I could not find a reason. Checked timing rotary valve and ignition drained fuel tank and cleaned out. Replaced anti freeze and 2 stroke oil. It runs fine now but doesnt that leave a small amount of doubt in your mind when you go across a lake at 70 MPH Geez will this thing make it to the other side. I didnt think I was buy ing the fastest thing out there. I have seen way to many problems with cats and YEs I have had alot of friends with them. I beleive they really are fast if not fastest out there but nothing but motor issues and dependability issues. Again yes they all have some issues I just in my experience have noticed a considerable more with A/C. I had Skidoo' s before and looked at either a Rev or an RX-1. The RX-1 led me to believe it was more of what I wanted and all around trial sled that was fast and would last.

The four you listed are not recalls they are updates... Like i said before..

A torn seat or short links are not going to leave you stranded on the TRAIL!!

you know why there not cald recalls cause yamaha is not paying for it
they want us to pay for the updates ..

at least cat dose recalls they pay for them not make the customer pay

and if you want to talk about stranded on trail . well dont even go there

i know lots of vipers and srx and sx and sxr that had major probs too..

one of them the crank in 98 99 2000 on the srx and sxr
so realy . dont even try welt
doo has there prob , yamaha , cat and poo all have theres

I kind of feel sorry for you buddy. If the ONLY reason you bought an RX was to out gun an F7, you purchased the wrong sled.
BTW, after I don't know how many passes accross a 1/3 mile lake last weekend, my buddy (with an 04 F7 EXT) and I decided to call the afternoon a draw.... it was THAT close..... and I have not put ONE NICKEL into my Warrior.

Hey Guys, reveiw the new sleds when they come!! Please, you guys look real silly.

Weltracer, I went to the site but there is nothing on new sleds. What gives? I think you guys made this up! Just to get our attention and read your posts on Arctic Crap and Yamahas.

Had a rough week at work, so I might as well stir it up here some, although I think most here would agree.
We have a large variety of sleds in our club, of which I'm the president. Every single F cat has issues, this year and last. Today's is the F6 with the rivets coming out of the tunnel, literally almost having the rear suspension fall out, and the dealer told him he rides too hard, so now he needs his shocks revalved. He has ridden it three times. It is at the same dealership of another F7 owner, who just caught his coolant hose before it wore through underneath. No major failures, but it seems every week there is a new issue requiring repair or a trip to the dealer to prevent a major problem. At least the word spreads fast, and the cat guys here are always looking for the latest news on the latest problems. If my random sampling means anything, the F's have very poor quality control, are underengineered in some areas, and there are absolutely no signs of improvement. Being just a trail rider who likes to ride sorta fast, but get back every time on time, a cat is definately out for me. Fast for their cc size, maybe, but cubic dollars will win everytime at impromtu races, and I honestly cannot ride much faster/stupider on public trails than I can now, with either RX1.
I feel much better now. :D
