Just returned from a good weekend in Munising area. Just thought I would warn folks that are posting here that the jealous ski-doo guys like to post links to our threads over on doo-talk. I had no idea they were that threatened.... must get beat on regularily and need to vent.....

Anyway I was splitting races most of the weekend with my buddies once again. The jerk on doo-talk that grabbed my post and linked it seems to think i am full of crap. anyhow i figured i would give him more material.

i am 325lbs plus gear. probably 350lbs total.

on hard surfaced trails and roads i consistently beat the 800 XRS (185 lb rider) and 800 gade (175 lb rider) on top speed runs. I pull past them after 90mph and it seems like they are trying to spur their tunnels with their boots maybe.... in shorter runs i split with both of them based on holeshots . the XRS has a strong midrange that has to be holeshotted for me to get him on a shorter run....

The 1000 gades(150 lb rider) chip burnt in and he added studs. I couldnt get him... he consistently got me from 1 to 3 sled lengths.

we switched venues and hit the grand marais airport. 6 - 8 inches of snow on top of grass.... i couldnt get anyone.. lost everytime from 2 sleds to 4 sleds.... my weight and the ripsaw were not helping me in this softer base.

the interesting part that the dootalk guys will like is that i was able to get my skidoo buddies to drive my machine for a few runs on this soft airstrip.....

2 super close runs with the 1000 gade but fell just short with equal riders

150 lb rider on the attak walked away from the 800 gade (175 lb rider) with equal holeshots and got him by three lengths....

185 lb rider on the attak with equal holeshots got the XRS 800 by 2 lengths.... XRS rider was pissed and decided to sit the equal rider weight runs out...... in the XRS defense it has an ice ripper but no studs .

all in all i was schooled on the softer snow but held my own on the hard trails. I did swap with the 1000 gade and he beat me by 2 lengths with my attak....

I challenged them to ice runs next trip....... the attak top ends the 800's all day i just dont know if i can real in the big guy........will take some distance.....

When i was getting ripped on for the losses at the strip i finally just
said i was going to have to round up some average weight riders from the yammie website and have a 4-stroke victory party at their expense.....

anyone want to come around to newberry area the 14th-18th to beat on some ski-doos? Where is a good area to run ice or hardpack in the newberry area?

p.s. if the dootalk poster boy is out there. What do you ride? if its under 1000 cc's bring it!!!!! Ill sit on the back and holeshot you from here to Christmas...... :tg: :yam:

Hi

Please let it go don't try to start stuff with poeple on other sites we don't like cutting down other sites or people cutting down our's.Thank You

I agree, we dont want to draw fire over here.

But I think he is saying that the Doo guys have linked his threads (and some of our other threads) for mockery. He doent really want that, but it has happened.

Dont know for sure, but that is my take.

Must be a little boring over there if they have to link us :drink: :o|

I can confirm that they are doing just that. I owe both Doo and Yami sleds so I visit both sites under the name Ported Hornet.

Man that is pitiful to think they need to do that to stay pumped up on their brand :o| :o| :o|

Oh well, different strokes for different folks

:4STroke:

..

We know how great our sleds are.. there is no need to rub it in the doo guys faces..

If i owned a doo id think it was the best sled out too..its human nature..

Exactly what this guy did..... pretty sad.....

wasnt trying to fight but just irritated.... sad thing is he probably rides a little 600 or something which is fine but stay off the big block posts.....

My doo buddies agreed and alerted me to the fact that until a 2-stroke guy gets whipped by a big yammie they seriously think they're 600 /700/ and 800cc 2-strokes are faster than our big, heavy , slow out of the hole 4-strokes..... thats is really the attitude out there and so i invite them to come and run.... we shall make you believers...... ;)!

Hey "monsterattak", how is the riding in the Munising area? We are leaving for there early tomorrow morning.

HUGE storm came through staurday night and we left sunday morning....

you will be HAPPY!!!!!!

trail 8 to grand marais is nice...but 8 to gwinn is boring.......

stay away fromwater side trails until you hear different ....they have been getting missed by the snow....snow is heaviest in the woods.... enjoy....

SkiDoo and Yammi BOTH make awesome sleds. I feel they beat all other sleds easily. I love my REV 800, and it has capability my Attak doesn't, and vice versa. What I can say about the Attak is that it is the best all day long, high mile sled I've ever had. Probably overall the funnest as well. Can't take it to the motocross track, but that is why I kept my REV.

much agreed.... I really can see merits to both machines..... the rev is easier to drive hands down... its lighter and better for the real tight stuff...

i wouldnt give up the engine in my attak . not for anything.... it doesnt win everytime but it sure does bring a smile to my face everytime i ride it...

i just couldnt give up that high winding pull that you have to experience to believe......

I joke with my 800 gade buddy about letting my 5 yr old drive his sled because it just doesnt feel as powerful even though i know it is close at 140hp...... with my weight the 4-stroke just pulls harder for me.....

when i ride my buddies 800 it just doesnt seem to like my weight while the 4-stroke doesnt seem to be affected as much.....

that being said i agree they are the two best and i would ride either one....

maybe I could schedule a a day over there on my attak. I only come in at about 170 and my sled seems to be one of the quicker ones. Hmmmm... :yam:
