44 Mile WOT Run

What's the serial number of that sled, I want to make sure I don't buy it, lol.
What made you stop, ran out of gas?

They started the record at Madge Lake on A/C 4 strokes. They toasted the secondaries on both of em & had to use F-7,s but they made it. they had a large circular track around the lake & went WFO for just over 12 hours.

I think it was a 24 hr deal not 12 hr. We should go and break that record and use just one Yamaha. I am sure Yamaha would supply us a sled to bury this record.

My WOT record is 56 miles on the trail Miquelon to Chapais (is exactly 100 miles). At the time I was testing my new temperature gauge and it took 56 miles before overheating!

My temp gauge didn't move stay between 155-161....but then again it was -35 out

Ok found some of it and it was a 24 hr deal not 12 hr.

Madge Lake is the heart of Duck Mountain Provincial Park and is home to many big snowmobiling events. In March 2004, two local boys set a new Guinness World Record for the most miles traveled on a snowmobile: an astonishing 2,041 miles in 24 hours. Now divide that many miles by three artic cat sleds. Would be great to see 1 Yamaha 4 stroke take that record away and probably only a yami could pull it off.

Since then, I installed a rear cooler. No more overheating problem!

wow

I must be a wimp I doubt I have ever gone a full mile WOT, first of all very hard to find a lake that smooth for that long and I always think only bad things can happen. To me and the sled

I mean my (our) Apex's go 110 to roughly low 120's depend on conditions and that is fast to me. How can you know there are no bumps for 40 miles plus. I am not doubting you guys just thinking you ride in much different conditions than me.

Keep safe guys

WOW

WHERE CAN YOU DO WOT????

IN QUEBEC ON THE WAY TO CHIBAGAMAU FROM SENETARRE IT'S ABOUT 90 MILES OF THE FLATEST MOST STRAIGHT TRAIL I HAVE EVER SEEN.

LOTS OF LINE OF SIGHT AND LIMITED ACCESS..

Yes, that's the place.. Miquelon-Chapais-Chibougamau. It's an old railroad, total 100 miles; after the first 10 miles there is a gas station (miquelon), then there is 90 miles left.

I'm going there tomorrow... :jump:

I’m usually worried blowing a belt while WOT for a long period of time. As soon as my RPMs start to drop a bit at WOT, its time to back off a bit. I highly recommend changing the chain case oil to as fully synthetic as stated above. Doing allot of WOT for many miles on end seems to evaporate oil as well. I don’t have any leaks, but did need to top up oil every now and then. I’m getting a bit worried on my drive axle since I’ve been hearing some popping around the 10,000 km mark. Wonder if I should just change it.

YUMMY

Hopefully you might be around the week we are in Val d'Or. We will be touring all over the area. We are going to be spending some time at Auberge Hurricanna since i heard it is a great place.

Now that the snow on my rear extention melted I notice that the oil drops all over behind the exaust, since this is my first Attak...would that be normal??
