Ditto. We'll be running with Deans kit in our Cains Quest Vipers. Not many miles on the kits yet because of the minus 48 celcius windchill, but they are definately well built and as stated earlier...lots of very serious CC guys use them. I had a guy say to me this morning that it was a great day for training...how come I wasn't out riding? I reminded him that like everyone else, we are waiting on windshields!!

I think if you want to use the AC kits you need to order the XF7000 wheels for the LTX, the ZR7000 kit for the RTX short track. There aftermarket kits are much nicer but more money and a harder install, but very nice and I'm sure of better quality for hard use.
~400mi on JT kit, no issue and easy install.

So why no 7.5" wheels with the Larson kit for the RTX?
Both JT and Tom from Arctic Adventures among others recommend the larger diameter wheels.

This is from Belanger Racing:
Hey Matt, I'm not sure what kit your looking for, just adding the out side wheels is $115.95 plus shipping, doing 4 wheels and deleting the stock tri hub would be $179.95
What track length do you have on that model? some of the Vipers use stock size 7.12 and some use 8"
I have 13,000 miles and have never had any problem with the hyfaxes near the rear axle, yes they wear down a little then stop wearing with plenty of meat left
I can sell you the 7.5 kit if you want it, that 4 wheel kit comes with a HD axle, 4 wheels and all hardware for $249.95 plus $16.85 shipping
Thanks

He has 13,ooo miles on the 7.12 wheels and hifaxes are fine, so I went with 7.12 wheels and eliminate tri-hub. I didn't go with his 7.5 setup due to extra cost... doesn't seem necessary.

Has anyone actually had a Tri-hub failure? How necessary is this? I understand preventative maintenance, but it seems silly unless it is a known. If the stock setup lasts 10,000 miles, Then I'd be more than happy.

I would say stock setup lasts a season then risk goes way up. It's ugly if it goes.

Has anyone notice a difference in handling after installing a 4th wheel kit? Especially interested if you have an ltx with studs. i have 2 years and 2700 miles on the stock tri-hub and want to look at options.

I couldn't tell difference on trails other than less snow chunks being thrown back at me. Off trail and powder guys say they can feel difference leaning sled over.
I changed mine out beginning of last season the tri did not fail but felt like chipped marbles for bearings. I rode about 500 miles on the complete 4 wheel kit and then noticed one night loading it in the trailer I had lost the outside wheels even with locktite and never noticed it does not affect the handling. Not sure why I replaced them and never lost them again but I bought new locktite.
