I had two sets of 5.7 pilots. 1 set black no carbide. 1 set yellow/black with carbide. So I swapped the carbide from one to the other. Then drilled out the grab handles and replaced with white handles & s.s. bolts.
Thanks Rockerdan! Followed your swap to the "T" my sled was on a stand and I found it easier to let the sled down onto a board then to inside of ski. That helped twist the ski to get bolt thru. Those washers were a joke. Couldn't get them sandwiched between spindle and ski........2 1/2hrs. Total. And cost $50us. Just needed white handles

Looks good Joe! 2.5 hours! You must be a union worker who gets paid by the hour. Did you take all the breaks you are entitled to in that time?I had two sets of 5.7 pilots. 1 set black no carbide. 1 set yellow/black with carbide. So I swapped the carbide from one to the other. I have nothing against unions so I hope nobody was offended. RAMSOMAIR

But in that 2.5hrs, the union job was completed on time, within budget and no lost time accidents were recorded lol.

Let me see if I can straighten her back out. Lol!
Just wanted to indicate how long it might take to tackle.
Joe, did you find it necessary to change suspension settings?
Also, been here on TY just a short time. I'm still learning my way around. Ya know what I'm saying?

I did not change anything on my suspension. I think you will like them much better than the tuners. I ended up putting 7.5 inch shaper bars in the center of my 6.9 Pilots. I like them a lot. I could never put them on my 1200 because it would steer too hard.

Stupid question time......
How do you adjust limiter strap without any adj. Holes? None at top either. What gives?

The holes are not obvious at first glance. They are there. I let mine out to the farthest position. My sled came from the factory set at 1 hole shorter than longest.
I chose this as the starting point because I am running Trackers on my 6.9’s

I felt over the top. I will check it out tomorrow. Transfer block was on the thinnest spot or #1.

I was going to change the skis on both sleds to Pilots, then decided to go with dual carbides- 6&8 on each ski.
So far so good- got out again today on some logging roads. Top speed 150km/h.

Remove the bolts and reveal the holes covered by the washers.
