The emphasis has been to point out that yammie began designing this new sled 5 years ago.
Do you guys believe it took that long to get this sled designed and built?
OR, does the 5 year time frame put this sled in the pre REV era which makes it appear as if Yammie had the exact same rider forward design in mind at the same time as DOO?
i think designing began some time after DOO released the REV.

Doo actually got the REV idea from Yamaha's snow scoot...........

I think that Yammie has got a plan for at least 4 years ahead from now so when everyone complained about the RX-1 weight etc they started planing on the return in snowcross... From the entry of the Vector they have been racing in scandinavia and Japan and building hand made sleds that could compete and they have been rather succesful... Now the sled is DONE and in production..... and it can win in the toughest snowcross races in the world!

I think they got it from the Blade. You got to give them credit for rider forward.

Guys, as an example, Yamaha will ride the 2009 sleds in May of this year in Alaska, as they always have. Ski-doo heads real far northas well to test the next year sleds. Sleds designs are three years old by the time we sit on them. They arfe already tweaked and ridden two years in advance in most cases. The only exception I heard was the FX Nytro was a mid-summer design that Yamaha wanted to get to the people because it was such a awesome design.
