Rich, I battled with it for a half hour with some very rigid 5/8" transmission line that I bought to make a tight 180 bend. The hose won the battle! I ordered some other stuff to use instead.I will say, getting the line in that copper U bend was a pain.
Here is the hose that I used/researched that seems to be a good option. Was in stock at local NAPA store.I will say, getting the line in that copper U bend was a pain.
Don’t leave hose there. Move it to the right, there should be a spot it will fit next to lower side panel and foot rest area.Good Day. Working on my cousin's '17 ZR 9000 & decided to do the ROV delete after his blew the oil tank seal. Tank has been resealed & is good. Just wanted to get your opinion on my setup, which was copied like many on here & specifically Mike K. 5/8" fuel line with copper 180 degree clamped & installed where stock ROV was mounted. Will do the 45 degree cut with a pressure relief slit 6" up. Main question is were to dump the hose? Just by the foot well hanging down (by how much??)? Will it get in the way of your boots? Or dump it by the chaincase guard which I've seen. Have yet to finalize it.
Thanks in advance, Alex.
I wouldnt worry about any tape. My end sticks down where the chaincase gully is - below the actual footwell.Thx Sevey. Was thinking by chaincase as well. Extra heat would help keep the end open & free. Just thought to ask about different results. Is heat wrap/tape around the hose necessary? Given the heat while running & shutdown, the copper elbow would hot enough to allow fuild to flow in either direction until temps drop. Likewise for the hose itself. Just wondering about the hose exposed close to the turbo/exhaust.
Cheers, Alex.
