So witch one would be better for me, I'm 235lbs dry weight (naked) I'm going to suck up the limiter strap, loosen the front springs and adding a 13mm sway bar and a rear cooler to look after the ice problem.
I'm riding a 2007 Attak ER. I ride mostly high speed groomed northern Ontario and Quebec trails.
So what should I do 6.5 or 7.0 with the revalve??
Thanks
P.S. I will be adding lugage to the back from time to time for 2 day trips so I may need some range to juice it up

The 7.0 is very stiff. I sent the shock from my 06 ER to Pioneer this fall for a revalve and the 7.0 spring. I am probably 350 with gear on. They sent it back with the C-Clip in the 3rd position and the preload set to 1. The rear barely moved when I sat on it and it rode very stiff. I just changed the C-Clip to the middle position but haven't tried it out yet. Seems to be better just bouncing on the rear but may still be too stiff once I ride it.

Oh WoW....so maybe the 6.5 is the way to go? Or will that be too stiff??

I added a big boy last season.
Better stay with the 6.5. I have it on the softest setting and works well.
I just bought a Hygear setup, so by Bigboy may be for sale!

280-290 with gear on...the 7.0 is by far the best choice in my opinion..i never bought the 6.5 but i have the 7.0 and love it.

Ihad 7.0 on my 06 Gt. I ride aggressive. and weigh 220 in the buff. It was way too stiff . went with 6.5 way better.

Gained a little weight this year & have been noticing the attak bottoming more. 200 now 220 lbs. Do I NEED to revalve the shock or could I just change the spring & if so I presume the 6.5 is enough for me. What differences should I expect. Spring & Revalve vs Spring only vs Stock??? Ride trails but some times those can be a real mogul run !!!

you will need to revalve any shock that has a larger spring..
i weigh 205 and ride and jump aggressivly and the 5.5 spring and revalve works AWSOME for me.. but the compression is set at max for jumping and hard riding, and soft when i am just crusing around
