8FK-23711-00BK ski bottoms? Skis are finally mounted to my 2012 XTX!

My original plan was to up-grade to the wider SLP Powder Pros but they will end up costing over $700 cdn! After doing lots of searches here on our awesome site I found that a lot of riders like the older style Yamaha mountain ski ( 2010 & earlier). My question is, how much hardware, rubber stoppers, bolts, runners & especially the loops can I rob off my 2012 skis to use with the older Mountain ski? The ski bottom part # is 8FK-23711-00-BK & looks very similar to the Powder Pro
I told my dealer to hold off on ordering them until I can find out if I can use enough parts off mine to transfer to those ones. If I have to buy all new hardware it might not be a feasible idea, if I can use my mounts, hoops & stoppers it will end up costing less then half the price of the SLP's!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
The pic on the left is the same style I have & on the right is the older style Mountain ski that I am interested in.

You will need the longer ski bolts and some type of spacer for each side of the ski bolt outside of the spindal. You can buy them from Yammi, or make your own. I'm not sure about the ski rubber itself, that may be a bit of an experiment. I used a set on my '06 and the rubbers were fine, but the new rubber has been changed. Good luck. Those bottoms will work great with a set of snow trackers, and yes, they are very similar to Powder Pros.

Longer ski bolt and two spacers per side. The rubber is the same. I believe the '12 ski loops as well as the carbides are different from a '10 or older.

My sled is new so I think I will stick with new skis. If I have to get different hoops as well as different runners I might be better off taking a hit on getting the powder pros, lol! Does anyone know for sure if the new style ski hoops will fit the older style or not?
If all I need is a couple spacers, longer bolts & some good carbides it still will be well worth it

Oooooops, I might have made a little mistake, the pic of the ski that I said looked like my current ski, WRONG, here is a pic of what my ski actually looks like!!! Guess I should have looked first, sorry!!!!!

OK, although the hoops from the earlier ski is a bit different from the newer version I am optimistic that it still might have the same mounting specs. The hoop on the 2008-2010 are exactly the same on the narrow or mountain ski, if someone has these skis could you please do me a huge favor & measure between both mounting bolts as well as the distance between both mounting bolts( center to center). This would be a huge help because that would save me from ordering the mountain skis then having to pay to ship them back!

Ranger, the power steering sleds have a different spindle than the '06 - '10 Apex, but I think it will work! My 2008 Vector is in the shop now, so I went out and bolted a stock, 2012 Apex ski to the spindle and it fits fine; makes me think it will work vice versa.

$700 is a lot of money! I'd be willing to drag out my '12 Apex to see if an '06 - '10 ski fits the spindle to make sure before you drop coin? Let me know?

Northernsledder, thanks so much for providing your research as I had not idea my new sled had different offset steering posts as opposed to my o'l girl! Please do not got to the trouble mounting the old ski to the Apex, like you said "vice versa" should work with my stock rubbers. I think the important thing is the distance from the ski mounting surface to the mounting hole. Also, like Steiner & IH8CROWS mentioned, prob have to add/make spacers to shim it snug.

Well I think the last piece of the puzzle is whether or not the hoops will fit, IH8CROWS, if you could get those measurements for me that would be a huge help as well!
Hopefully this will work as it will be a much cheaper way for anyone wanting a good performing, wider ski at the fraction of the cost for the newer style Apex

IH8CROWS, while you are measuring, could you please measure the hoop mounting bolts as well? My top one is 2 3/8" long & the bottom one is 4 1/2". Thanks
My dealer said he wasn't going to order anything until next Monday because he wanted a full order before doing so. Just talked to him today & he said he already put in the order, the Mountain bottoms are on their way! Sure hope I can make this work & hopefully your hoop measurements are the same as mine, lol! As long as the distance between both mounting holes are the same I could probably shave down or shim the hoop to make it fit.
I checked the Yamaha accessories & the carbides for an 08 Nytro MTX is the same as for a 2012 Apex, so those will fit. The stock ones have only 3" of carbide but unfortunately I will have to use those until next season ( new sled + star suspension kit + float plate + skis = nothing left for nice carbides, lol)

From center bolt to center I get 12¾ .
The loop bolt length are the same as yours.
