8HA-124A0-00-00 rear heat exchanger kit

I've been reading a lot about over heating issues with the nytro's....I called my local dealer to get a quote on the kit (8HA-124a0-00-00) and they want $240 (canadian plus tax)....does anyone know where I can find a better deal on this kit? or something similar? is it really needed? and is it hard to install? Thanks

I just bought mine for $240 Can as well. I went to the US dealer as well and with my discount they could not even do better than $300, so $240 is quite decent.

There was another thread with the manual posted. I don't have it fully installed let as I need a lift to raise the sled up, but there is some work involved to install it.

I had an overheating problem when it was warm out or if we were going really slow so I am hoping this will fix things...

doesn't seem that bad, talking off the tank will be the worst part....i have a chain block hanging from my garage ceiling, so i hope that will do the trick... thanks again for all your help....

It's a pretty straight forward install...I can remember it being pretty tough hooking up hose #8 to the front heat exchanger. It's a pretty tight fit with limited access. Taking the tank off is easy.

should of asked if it was going to mount to the tunnel it self or to the tunnel guards.

To the tunnel itself in the same position as the OEM MTX cooler. Does not interfere with the RH tunnel protector.
