Thanks guys...looks like we are headed for an open winter, so probably a moot point now...but we might get a storm or 2. Great info to know. I appreciate it.

Ethanol free premium available from the following
Ultramar
W.O. Stinson fuel stations
Esso, MacEwens, have labels on all grades that they contain up to 10% ethanol blend.
I'm unsure of others. But according to the Phazer's owner's manual, they can handle up to 10% blends.
I'm in the fuel delivery business. I avoid ethanol grade fuel in all small off road engines. When I fill up my cans, I always purge the station's dispenser out by putting 5-6 liters in my truck before filling the cans simply to be sure that I'm getting pure premium in there.
Ethanol blended gas is the biggest scam ever pulled on consumers. It causes more damage to small engines (especially carburated ones) than people will ever know.
There's no fix in a bottle for it. There's no way of stabilizing no matter what you use. One month of sitting in a bowl and its toast.

Sometimes they'll say "may contain up to 10% ethanol" just as a general CYA but they may not have any in their premium. I had tested MacEwen and Drummonds and didn't find any at the time, but that was a couple of years ago. May also depend on which of the majors supplies them. If it's Petro-Can, it will likely have ethanol. All of Petro-Can's grades are guaranteed to have ethanol.
It was only when ethanol was mandated by squinty McGuinty that my tried and true 377 fan Safaris started spitting out pistons. It leans out the mixture and if you don't compensate for it, boom. It will also absorb moisture out of the air and phase separate. It apparently also does something to the lubricity so you might have to add more oil to two strokes. I've seen that too.

Yes it's a killer on 2 smokes. The ethanol actually washes the oil off of the cylinder wall, so we all know that what that leads to. My Arctic Cats were constantly eating pistons and jugs because of rings hanging up.
