How much timing can I add to my apex? I have a .060 shimmed head water/meth injection by hurricane and a s/c at about 10-12 psi. How much timing can I add at 16psi.

None at 16 but a bunch below 5 psi, at 16 I would be pulling 3 especially on a super where the intake charge is usually warmer than a turbo

Thanks. I am using water/meth and that is supposed to keep the temps down so you can advance timing at those boost #. With a shimmed head and lower cr that will factor in as well. I know without water/meth I can add some timing up to about 7 psi and then go back to stock or even pull some at 10-12 psi. Also another question is what is the best fuel to run with water-meth and a shimmed head up to 10-12 psi and 16 psi? I plan on talking to Dave at Hurricane but I want to start a post as alot of other guys are running meth.

I ran 87 octane with my meth on my nytro and apex, I wouldnt get to carried away addind timing under boost with the super, you can pull some fuel out and run a.f.s into 12.5 -12.8 and make power but watch the timing part , I really dont like pushing the super I did have a castastrphic event with mine and I feel a turbo would have survived way beyond the supers threshold. What are you doing trail /lakes,
