The hauch exaust looks nice but i think before i dish out the coin for it i would like to hear it. They sould have a video like Xcel motorsports does so u have an idea of sound. I ride in NH, Mass (if there is plenty of snow and ME and I do not need to get pulled over because my sled is to loud. A nice street bike sound would be nice going down the trail though.

Allen what kind of luck have you had with hauch stuff, all i have used to date was a helix and his speed sheeve, and unlike some people that have struggled with his speed sheeve,i got his to work fine, but it took me some testing, and more testing, and i think most people are not willing to do there home work, exspecting everything we buy off aftermarketeers to just bolt right in and work the same on every ones sleds, now i know i wish they worked that easy, but over many years of messing with most all brands of sleds and spare parts this is what i found, you need to test and retest,so have you used haucks exhaust in the past with any luck, and did his hp claims live up to his hype, thanks PeteSrxspec said:The Apex exhaust is a completely new design over the RX-1 exhaust and they will not interchange. Also MPI DOES NOT recommend anything but the stock exhaust for their superchargers on the RX-1 and I believe they will want the stock exhaust on the Apex as well.
Places to look for aftermarket Apex exhaust in the coming months.

Pete, honestly I haven't used Hauck products at all for the 4-stroke models. I would say you're going to be hard pressed to get 5 more hp out of the sled. If 5 more hp were available wouldn't you think Yamaha would've changed their design slightly to gain that? Just my opinion. If you're looking for a different exhaust you better be looking at it only for the weight loss, I wouldn't expect any hp gain.
