One thing to keep in mind is that aftermarket skis do require more effort to turn. I noticed this with my Simmons. It is not a negative as I would never again ride stock skis because the aftermarket ones are so much better.
My Simmons rarely ever darted. The only time it occurred was in Manitoba when I was #7 in a pack with several people in front of me riding Simmons. The darting was minimal though and only occurred in short spurts during a 200 mile day.
C&A skis are used by most snow-cross racing sleds. If you ride like that, then C&A skis are probably best. If you a high mileage trail rider, then I would go with Simmons.
