Airbox/Intercooler lid, close-off panel

Wondering what everyone has come up with for covering the big hole in the hood when the airbox is removed for the intercooler. I am not a fan of the giant hole it leaves in the hood. I have seen a few different setups, like a stock lid with holes drilled in it, black wire mesh, modified stock lid, etc. still preserving some airflow for the cooler. I just want to have my sled look more "finished" and am looking for ideas.

Any covering, even Frogskin, will inhibit moving air flow to the intercooler and decrease it's effectiveness significantly like putting a cardboard box in front of your radiator of your car or truck...
Might as well not have an intercooler if you don't have air getting to the core.
