As we all did, I had massive track howl at the end of last year after my hyfax wore down. (1056 miles)
During the off season, I replaced the hyfax and also installed 5mm oversize rubberized wheels. (Not Yamaha ones...will get part number later)
I just got back from a 5 day trip to Maine.
I experienced no noticeable hyfax wear and track howl was non-existant. (450 miles) The new noise from my newly installed picks was the only noise from my track-a non-issue.
This trip ran the spectrum of snow conditions from mud to powder and packed trails in between. I will not say that I am yet out of the Track Howl woods but I wanted to post this additional bit of info for everyone.

Glock 30,
As you know I have 6 Polaris/ Kimpex wheels that are 1/8" over sized.
My track howl is significantly reduced (wild guess 80%) but not totally eliminated.
Hyfax wear is again significantly reduced. I currently have 4150 miles on this set of slides with much more to go. I credit this to the oversized wheels.
I am not studded so I can't provide any additional feedback.
This results makes me a happy camper! Glad to hear that you are fairly satisfied as well.

I have about 700 miles on my Vector since I had a 136" fully clipped Rip Saw Quiet track installed and still no more track noise.

Did anyone try spraying the inside of there tunnel with a rubberized undercoating? That might help deaden the noise.

So we have two who put on extra wheels and the howl went away. Good to know. Thanks for reporting this and letting us know.

Sorry, but I checked my reciept for the wheels and it does not give a part number. I think I remember my dealer mentioning Polais wheels but I am not sure. They cost me $145 for the 4 of them. I have had no delaminating of the rubber and they have removeable bearings-Overall seem to be a fine quality wheel.

OK here is the skinny on my wheels.
My dealer tells me that these are made, by him, from other components and cannot be bought in the combination provided.
I don't know if this is a sales ploy or not but I would tend to doubt it as they are good folk.
These are 5mm oversize rubberized wheels with removable bearings.
I had to machine the shoulder from my aluminum spacers to allow for fit as the bearings were wider and would not fit assembled into the rail.
This was not a big deal for me as it is my profession and it may not have to be done to other models. Rev It Up currently have Red, Black and Blue in stock.
No time for pictures right now sorry.
