Annoying surge

Sled has a surge around 8 to13 mph, just the speed needed to navigate gas stations, load in trailer or creep around tight spots. Its acted like this since day 1. It feels, fuel or clutch related. 2020 LTX-GT. It always starts, idles,revs, runs good. Warm, hot, cold makes no difference. Any ideas ?
 
Check primary weights to see if there are worn spots.
 
I just went in the shop to have a look at the stock weights. They have a stall on them (hump built in). What happens is it travels a bit and weights swing out over that hump and it will feel like it shits up and the RPM drops and you'll get what you are calling a surge. Belt deflection tight or loose will change this effect somewhat.

In other words, it's designed this way and normal. A weight without this hump, or the hump being moved will act differently.

It can, but also know that some aftermarket weights also have a stall built into them. You can also grind the stall down to loose that effect, but know that little changes make a big difference when grinding on the face of the weight, they all 3 need to be perfect if you decide to grind them down, you'll just sand the hump off to get rid of that effect, but don't go too far into the beginning shift portion of the weight or you'll get more belt slippage.

Honestly I wouldn't touch them if you don't know what you are doing with them. I've seen lots of guys mess up the weights when they start grinding on them.
