I feel like I went backwards tonight. I took all the mild tube off of the sled and re did a lot of it in 4130. I also changed the tube angles a bit.
First a made a hoop for the tank.
Then I decided to change the upper tubes to connect to the tank hoop
Got the two upper tubes tacked to the tank hoop and the steering will also mount to the tank hoop.

Added one more brace to the tube frame.
Plastics seem to fit fairly well
Started on a 1/2" lower tube to close off the panel to the Nytro foot hoop. I plan to redo this next year when I put on a different tunnel and tube running boards.

Where would you add it? I am open to opinions.

The top tube that you had before to mount the front upper steering block.

For additional bracing, I would add a tube fFrom the two forward bolts in the bulkhead to the cross tube that joins the shock towers.....it can even be a bolt-in piece to simplify fab. For 0.3lbs of steel, you will be able to join the bulkhead to the shock mounts.
It would make for a bulletproof front end. You want to use those bulkheads as much as possible because
a) they're there
b) they're very very strong and pretty lightweight
My 2 cents, and another great build btw.

I originally had those two tubes there when I did this in mild steel. I think I will still add them before its snow ready. Thanks for the input!! Good to finally see some comments on this thing. Right now I will be working on the bodywork and making all the panels fit.
I am really looking forward to next summer already. It's getting a new tunnel and a turbo setup.

Small update
Made a support for the mag side plastics. I hate making these little tubes for the plastics.
It looks like the fuel tank will cover almost everything up.
