I spoke to my dealer about the handlebar kit and he mentioned that there is a anti-bottoming kit availiable to me at cost through Yamaha. He could not specify exactly what was in the kit but stated it costs approx. $60.
Has anybody installed one of these or know what it is?
Thanks John

That is available for the 2007 RTX which runs the Pro-Active suspension. Maybe he had his suspensions confused?

The 05 vector had this. all that it consists of is two rubber rollers (looks like frame sliders) that bolt to the rails. The torsion spring will hit these and slow it from bottoming..... it still can bottom. They were not put on the 07 skid. not sure why?

Are you aware on the mono skids that there is way more adjustment than most dealers tell you? The detent adjuster can be moved down on the shock to give more preload on spring. colapse the spring and slide the detent adjuster down then move the retaining ring to the next notch.

Thanks Burmad I know. I didn't have any problems with my apex gt bottoming out. I just thought if this is a preventative kit I should install for some extra insurance.
