I heard yesterday that SkiDoo is releasing a 950 twin Rev. I thought I would pass this on. The source was pretty reliable. Personnally, I love my RX and could care less.

Not if it's an SDI. Friend with the 800 is not getting much better than 70 miles on a tank of gas.
That would irritate the heck out of me.

Only early release I know of is a REV 600 sdi in red with a 16" track. Cat limited to a Special 900 King Cat and a god awfully ugly red T660.

Does the Rev 800 have a 10 or 12 gallon tank :?:
I heard in late summer from a reliable source of a 1000cc rev that was supposed to be released in early '04. This may be the same thing you heard.

I heard it was a 900 cc engine. I drove the 04 800 HO rev last week....I expected more pluck to be honest.. it wasn't much more than the 600 HO rev renegade.

All I know is the Blair Morgan 800 HO is one hell of a fast/quick sled. Two weeks ago I was dragging with the Blair HO, two other regular 800's and a Poo 700 on a 1/4 mile airstrip with about 12" of packed powder. The Blair HO smoked everyone out of the hole up to 100 mph every time by at least 5 sled lenghts. My HH, 1.25" track with 144 studs 03 1 ton would hold even with the other DOOs and we all left the Poo in the dust.

You are right RX1Liter....the 800 Doos are very quick. I had similar results you did with the exact same setup as you (HH's and 9833 1.25").

The Official mid winter release is a renegade with 16" wide track and a 600 SDI engine.
Where did you hear the 950 from?

16" Renegade would be a great sled! Especially if it could have an 800 SDI instead. 8)

WHERE
My dealer, he just picked up a Ski Doo franchise. Don't know how accurate it is.

Yep, the 16 inch wide track with 136 gives floatation like the 144s with cornering ability of a 136. This according to them.
I am wondering about weight, would 1 inch wider parts (track and all that metal in the skid "significantly" add to the weight?
I'd never by a tyco product myself.

The 16" track sounds good! I have a buddy who is basically waiting to snow check a 900(or 950cc SD) Rumor at the begining of the season was that they had it in prototype but last time he heard they were not going to release it. I think it has alot to do with Snow Conditions.
.the SDI's are all having a few problems from what I have heard. I think that Doo needs another season of testing by their guinea pigs (owners
) before they perfect the SDI technology.
If this crap weather keeps up I will bet that we will not see anything new from Yamaha as well.
