Anyone found a use for their crankcase filter after ECP/EVAC

I finally cut the holes in my ECP filters and prefilters. I know have the ECP EVAC kit set and ready to mount.

I have been looking at the very recently unemployed lonely little ECP crank case filter sitting on my bench. Has anyone found another use for it on their RX-1? How about other uses?

i was thinking about mounting it in the valve cover where that plug is...shouldn't be too hard and more venting wouldn't hurt

Mr . wwwkokanee (my favorite light beer) that's probably a great idea. You guys stole our snowstorm (the only one of the year, thank you) and now we are sitting high and dry.

BUT

Do we need to vent the valve cover/head? I know the crank case needs more venting. Is there another spot where we could mount the filter to eliminate blown head gaskets?

Its the valve cover gasket not the head gasket that is the problem and iactually its the half moon that leaks and or blows out more often than not

I guess one could always drill and tap a hole in the top of the chain case and mount it. That would generate a lot of questions too. I can hear the theory now:

"Yamaha drivetrain engineers have determined that the pressure built up though the movement of oil inside the chain case during rotation of the chain and the gears is robbing approximately 2-3 hp from reaching the ground.
They have determined that through the mounting of this pressure relief filter (designed to release pressure at 4 PSI) they can transfer this parasitic loss of power along to the ground much more efficiently".

Hell, you'd see filters on the top of chain cases everywhere.
